BC Admission

I really want to go to Boston College, but I know my scores aren’t great. I have a 28 on the ACTs (26 on English, 27 on Math, 28 on Reading, 29 on Science), but I’m taking it again in October so I’m hoping to raise my score. I have a 3.7 weighted GPA on a 4.0 scale, taken AP Statistics, and I’m currently taking AP English, AP Calculus AB, and AP Physics. My class rank is 20 out of 348. I’m the Theater Board President, Student Council Delegate, Freshmen Mentor, Mascot, Morning Announcer, NHS Officer, and I participate in a lot of theater around my state. Do you think I have a chance of getting in?

85-90% of enrolled students graduated in the top decile of thier HS class, so you are good there. However, a 28 is low. Try to raise it to 31+. If you are taking AB, with prep you should be able to raise the math score easily.

Good luck.

we were emailed during application that SAT nor ACT are required for the College of Fine Arts. I’m assuming that the potential is very important or if you have had some training during school or outside activities. sounds like you should work hard at your audition and portfolio

sorry I just saw Math Major. I don’t know about the other programs however I think your scores are decent. it never hurts, you have a long resume, that helps!

@katgirlchicago You are thinking about Boston UNIVERSITY, not Boston COLLEGE.

sorry you’re right. I apologize
