They’re running late this year apparently. Last year they notified on May 12th via e-mail, followed by a letter in the mail 2 days later. Good luck to you all!!!

also called today and was told Friday =O I hope its the morning lol im anxiousss

just emailed admissions…not only can i not wait until Friday because of anxiety but I have a deposit due where I have to send a decision by Thursday night to another school, great timing in all of this haha.

Bruins won!

Someone has applied to the Carroll School for fall 2011 as a transfer?

yeah she said she got rejected in april. is that even possible?? but they definitely are running late this year. they start friday but idk if I can wait that long! also i read last year about all this confusion about tabs changing too early for those who got in. but my tabs have been the same so maybe they fixed that problem

transfers520–what school do you have to respond to? And is BC a better choice for you?

i have to respond to a small liberal arts school just outside of Boston. BC has much more name recognition but sadly so much of my decision would depend on financial aid so even an answer today may not resolve my dilemma; i may just have to send in a deposit and if I do get into BC sacrifice the money i put down at the other school.

1 more day to BC’s decision. 2 more days to the end of the world. oh well…

Well, another way of putting that is that BC’s decision won’t be the end of the world!
Keep smiling, all.

i called admissions last night and they were very understanding of the fact I’m up against a deadline…she told me over the phone I was accepted.
I’m waiting on the financial aid package with the email this morning but I’m hopeful it will allow me to attend.
Good luck everyone!

congrats transfer520!! Did you get any of the tabs that the Fall2010 transfer students were speculating about?? I have no tabs or email from them atm…

Did anyone get an email yet? I got nothing so far

Congratulations transfer520!!! Haven’t heard yet, anyone else???

congrats to all. I hope the $ comes in for you.

Transfer: you might keep checking agora, since the financial aid award might appear there before you receive and e-mail alert. Or call Office of Financial Aid at Students Services and explain your situation to see if they can accommodate you quickly.

617-552-3300 or 800-294-0294

did the emails come out yet??

Last years emails went out around 2

I just called…they said they are still getting the emails ready and we will have them in a couple of hours

Accepted!!! Got my email at 12:02. Poli-sci major, CC transfer (close-to-4.0 GPA, SGO president, honors studies, PTK, held several jobs on campus working for a teacher and as a peer tutor, INCREDIBLE instructor evals, etc.). This is such a blessing, although now I have to decide between DC or Boston. ;)

The whole acceptance packet/letter is in a PDF attached to the email, as well as transfer credit eval (all of mine transferred, thank GOD!) and info about Agora (which has still not changed for me). 120 out of 1900 accepted, although they didn’t specify if that was only for CAS or all transfers.

Best of luck to everyone who hasn’t yet heard :D

^^if the money is similar, BC is a no-brainer over American. It is a better school and the reputation will carry you farther. Plus, Boston is a much better “college town”; students are everywhere.

btw. It is is easy to double in Philosophy at BC.

fwiw: I read a couple of your other posts, and I disagree strongly with your parents’ thoughts about PoliSci/IR being “lucrative” at the undergrad level. It ain’t any different than any other liberal arts degrees. Plus, IR is hugely prestige-driven; the higher the better. You’ll need overseas experience (Peace Corps/NGO) and/or a Masters from a top school (Hopkins, Georgetown, Tufts…) to be competitive for jobs in that field. There are thousands of IR graduates every year – it is an extremely hot major, many well-connected from top-named schools, such as Tufts, & the Ivies, not to mention EVERY other top college.

Congrats to all. Welcome to Chestnut Hill.
