May 1st would be amazing!

From what I have seen on the threads from last year, some people found out by may 1st but not everybody…

Hi! I applied to CAS for Mass Media Management/Economics

I’m a transfer applicant from a California CC.
College GPA: 3.35–a lot of honors classes, 18 units in progress
HS GPA-3.3

Hopefully we’ll find out soon! :)

hi! on BU website they said that i need to send in my spring grades. ughh! that means im not gna know the decision until mid- may.

Hey guys… agghh, I feel your pain. I’ve heard back from a couple places already, but BU is my first choice by a long shot… Anyway, it’s nice to know that there are other people out there who are going through the same thing. Glad I found this.

-current college freshman-
HS GPA: 4.0
College GPA: 4.0
SATs: 2150 combined
SAT IIs: I don’t remember… they weren’t all that fun, though…
I feel a bit weird about posting stats, but ah well.

I’m hoping to get into COM with a concentration on advertising.
Right now I’m just getting nervous because I sent in my college official’s report 2 weeks ago and it still hasn’t cleared on Applicant Link. Any similar experiences?

Fingers crossed & best of luck to all of you!

Where else did you guys apply?

The college official’s report is tough, I had the same problem! They kept emailing me and telling me it’s missing but when I emailed them back and told them how I had sent it a few weeks ago, the status on my applicantlink changed. Guess it just needs to get processed! Good luck!

Apparently they haven’t received all my things, is it possible that BU is still uploading all the transcripts and stuff? does anyone else have this problem?

I know the papers did arrive because I sent them as priority mail… I’m just nervous that so much time has passed…

My stats:
International Transfer
3.6
SAT 1790
TOEFL 104

applying to film production …

wickedfish, I would give the admissions office a call about your official’s report to make sure they have not misplaced it.

They started sending out admissions decisions around the end of April last year, and it would stink (especially with your stats) if you got stuck in a bunch of red tape b/c the report is missing.

Thus far, whenever I contacted admissions or financial aid they were always responsive, and it always lead to a positive result.

wickedfish I have the same problem… I’ll send an email and if I see that that works, I will let you know …

DNK & Moniso-- thanks. I’ll give them a call later this afternoon and see what comes of it, and let you guys know.

I’ve already sent the form in once before, and apparently my advisor forgot to check off the tiny box that says that I’ve never been arrested, so I had to send it in all over again. (I already feel bad about having to ask my advisor to redo the form the first time…) My fear is getting lost in the shuffle and not even considered. I tried to send everything in back in late February/ Early March so this wouldn’t happen…

I’ve heard back from just about everywhere else at this point, but I guess BU isn’t so prompt with sending these things out… I glanced at last year’s BU transfer message board to get an idea of when people hear back, and some of them were still waiting well into June.

my applicantlink says that my review is complete! fingers crossed letters come ASAP!

Wickedfish they already answered my email and they did upload some papers… Still three missing … I’ll give them some time to see if the missing ones are added, if not I will send then again …

TB0492- Congrats and good luck!

Moniso- What did you write when you contacted them? It’s awesome that they got right back to you and uploaded some stuff right away! I’m just trying to figure out how to phrase it to make it sound urgent but polite haha. On the other hand, I could call them instead… I’m just not sure which way will be more effective toward getting them to upload this one last form…

they responded pretty fast… Oh! and don’t forget to include your BU ID, because I did :stuck_out_tongue:

this is the message I sent :

Hello,
My application status still indicates that all my papers are missing. I would like to know if I should still wait more time for the admissions office to process all the documents, or if I would need to send them again.
I sent my documents via USPS Priority Mail, in which I included a different address that is in the USA to reach the post service requirements, but inside another envelope had my official address in Mexico (the one included in my application). Maybe the documents got mixed-up?
Another question, as a transfer student would I need to send a SAT1 test result?
Thank you very much,
Monica
