vrlobo88,
as some of the previous posts have mentioned the cultures requirement can be fulfilled either at the CCC level (there is a list of classes that are equiv) or at Berkeley. It has to be fulfilled prior to graduation so you don't have to take that type of class right away. No need to worry because several classes at Berkeley can fulfill it such as theater, ethnic studies, etc. You should wait until all your transcripts have updated and then check back to see if you have already fulfilled the requirements. The status will change to 'satisfied' once all the transcripts are updated.

weird... because I did a year of US History @ my CC so this should cover my American History Requirement... :(

U.S. residents who have not satisfied the American History and Institutions
(AH&I) Requirements in high school may satisfy them before admission to Berkeley
by passing with a grade of C or better (or P) an approved, UC-transferable
community college course comparable to UC Berkeley's:
- HIST 7A, or
- HIST 7B, or
- POL SCI 1.

yeeaaahh that means you only have to take one of these courses in order to complete the American History and Inst requirement...i took PS 1 so i should be ok...thanks so much that girl!
