bed size?

What are the exact dimensions of the Twin XL beds at Binghamton? Are they a standard size? I got a catalogue in the mail that said only sheets ordered from this official catalogue are guaranteed to fit the beds at Binghamton, as if they are a non-standard size. I probably won't be ordering from that catalogue though, so I'd like to double check.

good marketing, isn’t it?
you can buy twin XL sheets anywhere you want to. mattresses are 80 inches long.

[Binghamton University - Residential Life](Residential Life | Binghamton University) and then go to the link for the community where you will be living - most have a page explaining the features of the rooms, including bed size – they just don’t all calll the page the same thing – eg – [Binghamton University - Residential Life - Mountainview College - Room Styles](http://www.reslife.binghamton.edu/mountainview/room-types.html), [Binghamton University - Residential Life - Hinman College - Room Styles](http://www.reslife.binghamton.edu/hinman/room-types.html), [Binghamton University - Residential Life - Dickinson Community - Frequently Asked Questions](http://www.reslife.binghamton.edu/dickinson/faq.html#q2),

Thanks. It looks like the beds are slightly narrower than the standard Twin XL size - 33.5" vs 39" (which google tells me is standard). Is that much of a big deal? I imagine the sheets would still fit, just be slightly loose.

you’re fine. Everyone uses the Standard Twin XL sheets.
