Bedding for boarding schools

I'm trying to choose bedding. It doesn't sound hard but I'm sort of antagonizing over the decision. Does anybody know from experience about bedding at schools? Do girls go really cutesy girl PB Teen or do they just bring their favorite old quilt and call it good.
I've looked at Target, PB Teen and Ikea. Any other ideas?

Does it really matter either way? I'd say go with what you like and what you find comfortable.

just wanted to say i love pbteen =]

^ Actually I do too, it's just WAY out of my price range. :) If I make it in next year I'm going to bring some quilts that were made for me.

i got taget but bringing some other stuff to make its my "own"

tubachick-same i just like imagining myself in the rooms haha. maybe if I get into our dream school she'll get it for my dorm room.

Never know. :)

Really depends on your style. I've been in rooms where one roommate is totally frilly and the other has a very straight forward style. It's kind of nice to have the contrast because it helps to delineate your own space in the room.

you can just do watever. people arent going to judge you based on your bedding. i wanted to bring my old comforter but my mom wouldnt let me cause i have a queen and the beds at school are twins so i just bought the first thing i saw, it was this like full package with all the stuff like sheets, a comforter, pilowcases, etc.
i got it at bed bath and beyond you shoiuld try there

i bought all my bedding (sheets, pillow cases, shams, and duvet cover) at pb teen :)
everything is so super cute

I splurged and bought some PB bedding. I really like it, and I'll probably use it all four years.

I got some cute Nautica bedding at Bed Bath and Beyond. They definitely have cute stuff. I know my friend has a pink and green quilted one in her dorm (I know because I'm laying on the same design right now, in my room). My other friend says that she was freaking out about bedding too, but then she got there and realized no one cared!

I think PB teen has cute stuff, you should go for that, my friend uses that on her bed so we always hang out in her bedroom lol.

go with something that you like...no one cares what kind of bedding you have

and, in my opinion,
if someone is going to judge you on your bedding,
who needs them anyway?

That's a good point.

Nobody cares what your bedding looks like except for you...you're the one sleeping in it so get what you like.

My D was very picky back in her day, but now that it's my son's turn he couldn't be less interested. I asked him "Do you want to get new bedding for school" and he replied, "What?" with a puzzled look on his face. So, I said, "Do you want new sheets and a new comforter for school?" and he said, "Whatever, Mom, I don't care, do what you want." He was busy with lures or something to do with fishing (this was, of course, inside the house!).

I got an entire shopping day out of him so he would have clothing, but any additional shopping for the dorm room would be pushing my luck! As long as he has food and access to the outdoors, he'll be happy.

Have fun shopping, girls!
