Being Catholic help your chances?

Does being Catholic while applying to Jesuit schools like Boston College or Gonzaga help in the same way that Mormans get into BYU?

What about as far as graduate school?

uhhhh no........

acutally...yes....that is if u go to a Catholic High School

The only thing I can say here is that the Catholic schools care about volunteer service, contributions to the community, and that the student has honor and respect for others. If your application demonstrates these you have better chances for admission than other applicants.

It does help if you go to a Jesuit high school (which im not sure if you do or not). I'm pretty sure that they take that into consideration in admissions, but i know for sure that their are scholarships to Jesuit colleges if you are coming from a Jesuit high school.

They clearly state that they do not discriminate nor avantage any student based on religious affiliation... so no. They want to be able to say that not everyone there is catholic... so...

But if are catholic and essentially have the same ideals as the school it should help

I know at Notre Dame, a large percentage are catholic, and I heard it "helps"
