You have a chance at all the schools even w/o volleyball. With volleyball, you have a good chance at all the schools even the most competitive ones. Also, sports are important even at Harvard. (don’t know about the other 2) I know a kid that had a mediocre GPA, test scores, etc. and he got in because of football. I would really focus on getting recruited. I would really focus on getting to know the coaches because with your stats, you will almost certainly get in if the coach wants you there.

Thanks golfer! I’m keeping in constant contact with the coaches and them seem interested, so I hope it all works out :)

With your stats, you have a great chance at most of these colleges. And the fact that you’re being recruited for volleyball improves that chance significantly. I have little doubt that you won’t get in to at least one of your schools.

Thanks so much Leon! It’s very much appreciated!!

how do you do AP Art portfolio? do they give you a camera and time you while you run around taking photos or something?

xAAAx - You work on it throughout the schools year and submit it at the end. 29 pieces are required total, 12 - concentration, 12 - breadth, 5 - quality. All forms of art (painting, drawing, photo, etc) are able to be worked on throughout the year and then submitted.

Also, I just took the ACT one last time, aiming for a 34-35. If I achieve that it should bump up my chances a lot

Wow, that’s sick I didn’t know anyone on here played men’s volleyball. lol I’d say you have a great change at all the schools with NCAA volleyball. Sports go a long way because you have to keep in mind that they’re a passion that colleges also look at with the rest of your stats.

Can I check out your portfolio? I’m dabbling in a bit of photography myself as well. I’ll send you a link to mine in exchange. (:

Thanks for the comments!

Dear Clint,
I think you should consult Cole concerning college applications. (:

They are D1 though, shouldn’t coaches be able to help no matter how popular the sport even is?

Not really. Money gets put towards the more popular men’s sports, like football and basketball. Yes, they can HELP, but how much is what I’m worried about. No one cares about men’s volleyball, really, but I think I’m ahead of the game compared to most of the other recruits…
