I withdrew from a class yesterday and I though that it was cool since I had enrolled in 14 credits then dropped a 5 credit class and that puts me bellow what is required for housing.

I know I should have talked to the advisor I just messed up, what should I do? wil I get kicked out of housing or will they be understanding and try and help me out?

I talked with an advisor and she told me that I should meet with my RD. She also said that they try to accomodate changes and primarily want to see that I am committed to being a full time student next quarter and want to know my goals. So it sounds like I should be ok? My other grades have been good it was just my math class.

I did it durring my withdraw period, it’s considered a late withdrawal and sounds like I just need to meet with the RD and tell him my plans for school. I don’t think it will be a big issue.

At my first college it was up to the discretion of the Residential Director. I dropped out of most of my classes because of a life crisis and a career change, and I explained to him that if I was kicked out I would have no where to go and I’d be forced to live out of my car in an obscure parking lot.

It helped that I was involved in diversity and social justice activities he set up throughout the year.
