Beneficial Summer Programs? PoliSci, Foreign Affairs

What are summer programs that would actually look good to colleges? It seems we all get those phony looking leadership camps in the mail that everyone on CC claims just goes to show colleges that you're a snobby rich kid who can afford to blow $4K on a summer program.

However, what are summer programs that would actually look good, that are selective? I'm a high school sophomore right now, and i'm looking for possible courses or programs to take over the summer before my junior year. I'm interested in History/Poli Science/Foreign Affairs.

Does anyone know anything about the International Relations Program for High School Students over at Georgetown? Heres a link, tell me what you think: http://www.georgetown.edu/ssce/spp/hsir.htm

I went to Girls State, which is all gov/politics, and Economics for Leaders at Georgetown, but is located in 10 different sites every year. go to www.fte.org for more on EFL.

I did the Nat'l Student Leadership Conf. on US Policy and Politics, and it was a fabulous program. I recommend most highly. Any questions? netshark2005@hotmail.com
