do you guys know if you are allowed to appeal to a different major. In my case…I applied for bio and got rejected…but after applying (due to experiences at hospitals and taking classes) i am more interesting in health policy and economics. So I appealed asking them to review my application for economics…do you think thats even allowed?

I know there are some people appeal for another major in UCLA get granted. I don’t know for CAl. But who knows, everything could happen, especially for berkeley. haha…
anandrenga2001—what is your status? did you finish all your pre classes for bio major?

@ citusguy haha yeah i’m hoping i can change majors! So for the biology pre-requisites my GPA is really low (like 3.2)…because i had a lot of tough classes like physics bio chem. but my econ pre-requisite GPA is a 3.8…so i hope they at least look at it from that perspective. What abt you? are you appealing for the same major or a different one? Reasons?

anandrenga2001–I have think of changing to economic in my appeal since I have finish all my pre-classes for Economic. However, I already ask my math professors to write letter of recommendation for me, as a result, I stick with my Applied Math. hope we can get good result ASAP. I plan to SIR UCLA on May 31st.

Still waiting waiting waiting…

haha…a few days more. Probably some decisions will come out on Friday…waiting

Surprisingly, I am not very anxious to see the results, at least in comparison to the original decisions. I suppose I have already accepted my fate.

@aoeuid REALLY… So they have already posted some decisions?

actually I feel the same way, no reason to get my hopes up for something with a supposed 3% success rate, haha.

Yes, the only thing we can do is, relax and wait for less than a week.

Is UCLA as hard to get into as berkeley? The appeal success rate for UCLA. Is also 3 percent as well.

I think the appeal rate is almost the same lol…~3%, you appeal to UCLA?

I got into UCLA and will be going there.

First round of decisions are probably gonna come out tomorrow… from the experiences from last few years…

depending on last few years, the first round of decisions come out usually are bad news.

I kinda just want them to come out already so I can plan my future, haha. I’m tired of counting down these last 5 days :)
