Living in a dorm on Cal's campus? While that does sound very appealing because us transfers missed out on our freshmen "experience" going through the community college phase, but wouldn't it feel somewhat odd to be roomed with like a 18 year old freshman? ...Unless there are on-campus dorms SPECIFICALLY for transfers...well are there?

If not...I don't know, no offense to anyone if you're 18, but maybe it's just me...I definitely would not purposely hate on the 18 year old...I'M SURE WE'LL BE BEST BUDS if anything...but just...weird. haha...just my thought.

Or are all of you planning to live ON-campus in the dorms?

Applemouth, I agree. I'm not exactly....<ahem> 18, or even 21, but in my mid-20's and should I get into Berkeley, I wouldn't want to have a roommate at all, let alone some 19 year-old, cheeky drama queen. you know the type...lol. Anyway, if you are the type, no offense. I'm just there to make a difference and get a great education.</ahem>

I applied to Berkeley, but I had no idea just how strong the applicants were transferring over. It's a welcome sight.

Thanks for the information biochemist12 and CC Student. I didn't know that summer school was mandatory for all haas students. Wow now this just makes me more nervous even if I do get accepted.

Yes I applied already. Well I'm not really sure how I did on the supplementary application. I fulfilled all of the required classes if that's what you mean.

hmm, i have a lotta friends who go to berkeley and the housing there isn't 'just' for freshmen. the campus has dorms for transfer students as well...'n i think it'd be a chance in a million to experience the dorm-life if i am given another chance....

i have a friend who graduated from berkeley last year, econ. she was also a transfer student, and she said that the transfer dorms at berkeley are, well -- let's just say that her grades semi-slipped down from having too much fun in the dorms. :)

tifania, no, but I have a friend who does have a room available for rent. Really nice area, but not exactly near Berkeley... Anyway, I live about either 40 min. on Bart. I want to drive, but I am not really sure about that because of the traffic. no traffic = 20 min. drive

I can't believe they rejected you. Honestly, I can't believe it. That must mean that UCLA will reject me, too. :( But, seriously good luck at UCB and USC.

I am so so so so sSOO nervous right now...
after getting rejected from UCLA, i dont know what to expect from berkeley.
I have complerted all pre-reqs and have a 3.8 standing for Economics major, but that major is very impacted....so...I don't know. Berkeley has been my choice since I was in 10th grade or so...now that I have completed my 2nd year at CC, its finally the day I find out whether its been all worth it...granted that I have Davis as a backup, still...I havent felt this nervous since 2 years ago, and even then, I wasn't as nervous as thi because I didn't have a chance in highschool, but now.... =____= !

Does berkeley decision come out at night or in the morning?

lilomui - berkeley website officially states friday evening, but an adcom rep who comes to my school told me that decisions could be up as early as friday am. try not to worry too much. you'll get wrinkles. :)
