Where on the Berkeley website is this stated?

CC student - log in to myberkeleyapp and it should say there that they are posting decisions on Friday evening. this is their official thing.

but the berkeley ad com rep who comes to my school once every semester told me that they are going to try to have the decisions posted as early as Friday am. SHe actually mentioned that the reason behind posting decisions in the evening was to keep applicants, particularly HS seniors applying as freshmen, from cutting class. with us transfers they don't care as much i suppose. ;)

i just talked to the ucb person, she said ucb will start posting their decision from 4pm-7pm

nice. thanks yidong.

I know individuals who were notified early on the decision date in the past. Anyway, I applied to Haas on mine doesn't state the decision date.

Just to get this right, if I sent in my SIR for ucla I'm officially disqualified from any other UC right?

Does berkeley give priority to ppl doing honors classes, like ucla does with the TAP?

after witnessing what happaned with UCLA,
my hopes for berkeely are rapidly starting to dwindle down to nothingness.
It proves that there are WAY too many ppl applying to the same major, all completed stats, all with high gpas...so ultimately, its all the extras that u do outside which determine your acceptence.

mexbruin, other UCs (ie. berkeley) will not care if you sent in your SIR for another school. It won't cause the school to reject you, if that's what you're asking.

24 hours!!!!! Isn't anyone excited? Or has everyone enrolled at UCLA already???

im much more nervous than excited =_=

i'm anxious!!!

Wow it's like we're all at the end of a long journey. Good luck to everyone!!! :) keeps fingers crossed

lilomui and ericx. i hope we all get accepted, rejection from UCLA sux.especially with high gpas. ucla was my first choice. im really nervous. maybe i shouldn't have majored in economics.

maybe there will be a better chance to get into B b/c Berk isn't affiliated with TAP. in addition, i think more people applied to UCLA than Berk. bah . im scared. two years of hard work it all amounts to this.

Yea UCLA got about 13,000 applicants (according to another student on this board) and Berkeley got around 11,000 last year, so there's still hope.

I wonder if they are gonna post them up in the morning...it wouldn't surprise me, but I am so, if not, too nervous to check the results myself again...after UCLA, i might just call my bro and ask him to check it for me :P And if i get rejected from berkeley and from san diego...damn, 3 rejections in one week= not good. crosses fingers

btw, is economics an impacted major for berkeley?

Yes, Econ is just about Berkeley's most competitive (impacted) major.

anyone visited the berkeley campus? i hear a mixed bag of comments...

you'll either love or hate berk campus. but it shouldn't be a problem if you plan to live in a library like me. :(

great...my hopes for berkeley has just about diminished to nothingness...i knew that economics was an impacted major, but didnt know it would be among the most =_= i thought psychology would be the most or sth..
