Berkeley Econ Question

Hi,

If I drop my calculus two class for this spring semester will it affect my admission into Cal?

Yes. This is my understanding:

Let’s say you get accepted. Then Berkeley will give you a list of conditions, one of those conditions being that you complete all of your stated Spring coursework with a certain GPA, or something along those lines. I’m pretty sure economics is competitive at Berkeley, and major prereqs are most likely very important (although the language on assist.org indicates some flexibility with the major prereqs). You could drop calculus 2 and notify Berkeley, but they could rescind their admission offer.

Take all of this with a grain of salt, because I’m just some person on the internet. You can always call, although I don’t know if they’ll answer.

I’d say 80%+ chance it would jeopardize your admission.
