Got mine this afternoon!

I got my email for Berkeley Regents this morning! I didn’t get one from UCLA, though, which I find odd, but hey I’m not complaining.

Does anyone know if there’s any way to check if you got UCLA regents scholarship besides getting an email?

@Mooatt UCLA sent me two emails and a letter in the mail and the deadline to submit the application was the 8th.

Just making sure, but if we got the regents email then we are guaranteed acceptance, right?

@Mooatt, I didn’t get the UCLA one either, which I also thought strange xD
@Unsure: Yeah, regents = guaranteed acceptance
@CX: I got the email and yeah my portal also still says “in review” but I don’t think that changes anything :)

Could folks who got the regent scholarship invitations post their stats and also the major they applied to. I have heard that the invitation decisions will roll out over Feb based on majors.

Does anyone know what the leadership scholarship or award is all about? Is it a guaranteed admission? Any info please…

Sent from my HTC PH39100 using CC

@vampyfreak The offer to apply for the leadership award is given to all applicants with at least a 3.3 unweighted GPA. It is not a guaranteed admission.

If I received the email for the leadership award application, does it mean I won’t be receiving a regents scholarship email?

DS got the Regents scholarship email 2 days ago and the Alumni Leadership Award today. I have a friend whose DD got the Regents email today.

I’m curious about this as well. Are all the Regents recipients so far from California?

I think only cal residents are emailed about candidacy. Out of state people are
Only notified if they are chosen as regents scholars.

I had called UCB financial aid office, they told me that regent scholarship invitations are going out in spurts during Feb. Two of my classmates have received invitations but both have applied to Letter & Science. Has anyone received scholarship invitations from engineering.

I got my email the day after I found out through checking my application portal. It seems as though its mostly CA residents who get the invitation since they only offer interviews in Nor Cal and So Cal and I read on one of the websites that it was for CA residents.

Major: EECS

CX380LAX: Did you apply for EECS in the college of engineering?

yes…Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS)

Sorry, Berkeley has CS in the college of letters and sciences as well. I was just wondering.

What about the achievement award scholarship… Does that mean acceptance or not?

^don’t think so.
