I'm trying to decide between berkeley (spring admit but will attend FPF if i decide to go there), ucsd, and davis

I will be a molecular cell bio with an emphasis in genetics major at berkeley, a physiology and neuroscience (but am going to switch to molecular biology) major at ucsd and a genetics major at davis. I want to be a geneticist and do research work only so i'm not premed.

I am afraid of the "cut-throat" competition at berkeley and ucsd with all the premed students when i'm not premed and not extremely competitive. My parents would like me to go to ucsd because it is closer to home but will accept whatever I choose to go, but they would love it if i decided to go to ucsd. Berkeley has been my dream school, but i'm afraid of failing there but I know that it will help prepare me for the world and push me to my limits. Davis has been my number one choice because i did not think i would get into berkeley and i feel that i will thrive there but won't be pushed as much as ucsd or berkeley. davis is like my safety school.

any help will be GREATLY appreciated.
