What are some of the best ACT Prep books?

A lot of people have been telling me "The Real Act Prep Guide" is really good.
Does anyone know the LATEST edition of this? I can only find the third, but I think that was published in 2011. I can't buy it from the actual ACT site because it takes two weeks to ship and I need it ASAP.

Princeton Review for sure! I got a 30 on my first try on the ACT

Well PR helps and so do many other books, but what you want to try best is taking tests. Get a feel for them. Make sure to take tests under great stress just like the environment and give yourself less time so that you’ll be more prepared.
24-E --> 31
23-R --> 30

Do a good pass through a book that explains the ACT and then spend the bulk of your time going through questions. Passive studying will only get you so far. The red ACT book of course is the best bc the questions are real questions that were used in the past. You do not want to get a book with questions that seem easier than the ACT (McGraw Hill IMO) and some of the question books are too hard, and others (Kaplan) just have a lot of poorly constructed questions. Princeton review is good after you get through the red real ACT book.

Pretty sure the third edition is the most recent. Should be able to find it at any Barnes and Noble or through Amazon.

Please do not use Barron’s. I had a very bad experience from the start with their diagnostic tests.

Best advice is to prep through the OFFICIAL ACT practice tests (whether they are real or sample).
