Your cafffinee is marvolous !

"My heart only lies for DHL3! Mi corazón!"

You can have the next best thing...me! I went to his community college as well ! :D

CCCbound, which cal states do you favor over (which) UCs?

Man, I'm still awake.
Movies have been keeping me up for the past few hours.
Oh, how I love summer vacation!

i actually really like and hear good stuff about cal state for sciences. the classes are smaller than UC taught by profs who generally care/teach better.

it's also great if u are an average student like myself.

which one is the best for bio? I am not sure since i don't have friends who went to all. I do have several who are bio majors at csun and they really like it. it's cheap rent there too.

good luck.

same here nikkei, nothing else can keep me up so well as the internet.

aw, I thought it was me keeping you up.

double betrayal :(

^

Are you trying to tell us something? :/

you too of course Cardinal :p

CCCbound, which cal states do you favor over (which) UCs?
Honestly, I don't have too much background on the strengths of the biology program in either system; I only know a bit about where UCSD and UCD stand (and that I have friends attending both for that reason.) I might be wrong, but generally speaking the CPSLO/CPP is regarded as the top of the CSU system. Personally, I've regarded the two as being on par with UCD/UCI, if only based on how admission decisions and SIRs played out last year at my HS.

highschoolda brings up a great point in that CSUs have smaller classes, which translates to more interaction with the professor of your classes. The other side of the token, as I've mentioned earlier, is that the UC system does a lot more research in the field -- which could not only mean knowing about the newest developments, but possibly even taking part in them.

That said, I know people who have been very successful after attending CSUs. Take a look at what schools interest you, do a bit of research on their programs, and go with the best fit for you. :)

I thought I might add this in as well as a disclaimer. :P

I've had a couple strange experiences with CSUs, so my apologies if I come off a bit biased. I do try to stay as objective as possible. The first was CPSLO constantly trying to get a hold of me to apply for the campus -- back when I was a junior. The one currently ongoing was my decision to apply to SFSU but withdraw soon after by not paying for the application fee.

A few days ago, I recieved a welcome e-mail to the school. I have yet to pay, register for any classes, submit any transcripts, take any placement tests... nothing. But somehow, I might just be a student in the system.

I suppose it's this sort of supposed "desperation" that give CSUs a bad rep.

bump it up
haaaaaaa

Cal Poly SLO is the best Cal State hands down

I guess I'm a junior member now, and I probably should know better, too, but I always see people posting "bump." What does bump mean? Or I'll see Bump Bump???
