best campus to live on in new Brunswick?

I am transferring this spring to Rutgers nb. I'm a 20 yr old female, bio major. not sure what housing is still available, but thinking I'd like college ave or Busch. definitely looking to go out, but also study. would love to know people's opinions on the campuses. thanks!

With the construction going on in Livingston, it will soon be the nicest, most modern campus. Although, I don’t know if it’s gonna be done before the spring.

It really depends what you’re into. College Ave is hectic and dirty, has the worst dining hall, but it’s definitely more convenient if you want to go out a lot and better if you want the more urban setting of Downtown New Brunswick.

Livingston and Busch are almost like suburban areas, with less bustle, more class buildings, etc. The majority of the science buildings are on Busch. Cook/Douglass is the most serene and there are lots of trees and such, its quiet but it also can smell because of the animal farm.

I’d say take a bus ride through each of the campuses and see what you like the most.

if youre a bio major i would suggest Busch, since most of your classes will probably be there. If youre looking to go out, College Ave is only one bus ride away. College ave does indeed have the worst dining hall and its really loud all the time (its a city environment).

You may also want to consider Cook/Douglass; Cook Douglass is the home for SEBS, so it has numerous biology/sciences buildings. It’s also usually quiter than Busch, so it’s a place to be for studying. Cook/Douglass is also very close to College Ave; if you want to go out, it wouldn’t interfere with your schedule at all.

Cook/Douglass is mostly populated with girls, and Busch is the exact opposite; in the end, it all comes down to your social preference.
