Best club to make for College App to a stem school?

title mainly.
I’m not looking for a “do what you enjoy” oriented answer, I just would like to know what admission officers think is the best club that you could create to help your college app.

Would it be a Chemistry Olympiad club or maybe a Biology Club.
yes, my school doesn’t have a biology club at the moment

It won’t matter to admission officers. So – yes, I’m going to say it – do what you enjoy.

Elsewhere you wrote “I’m a junior looking to pursue biochemistry”

As a junior, nothing you do for new ECs such as starting a club the start of senior year is going to make much if any impact on adcoms.

Our school allows summer clubs and I can then just write I made the club junior year.

Then why do people talk about weak and strong extracurriculars like it does matter?

Because it’s not about starting a club after your junior year. It’s about showing that you had meaningful ECs throughout HS, what you learned from them, and how you contributed to your high school community. Adding a last minute club to your application is not going to move the needle.

“starting” a club is not what matters to adcoms, even if you willingly represent it to appear as if you did it sometime during junior year instead of over the summer. But I can see you aren’t willing to be dissuaded
