Best Downloading Software???!!!

Bitorrent has everything but its far from safe. Its just hard to find all the users and attack the slovenia based site Suprnova

Shouldn't something discussing illegal acquisition of intellectual property be banned? It's like....akin to asking about warez or roms or so.

Itunes offers songs for $0.99 and another for $0.70 a great bargain. Unless the band is purposely playing to be illegally downloaded (there is one in South America)

Unless the band is purposely playing to be illegally downloaded (there is one in South America)

wouldn't this then be.... legal?

Well its illegal according to the company that the band is signed to. But the band is encouraging people to download their copyrighted music. But in general you could say its legal.

how safe is mirc and limewire?

Limewire runs on the gnutella network its not safe but its safer than Kazaa. But you should have programs like Peerguardian to protect you from certain ip's. Mirc is not safe your prone to getting hacked but its safer than Kazaa. But, you are not anonymous, it has been known time to time that federal agents browse chatrooms. But for the most part your safe. There is a new rule out where you have to share 1,000 songs to be prosecuted. They will probably lower this amount once they catch all the big sharers.

How many users does Limewire have? Also, do authorities check it? I remember the time when Kazaa sued a lot of people for downloading music. Does this have the same dangers as well?
