I'm a freshman looking to take the best gen ed classes that a freshman could get into.

Oh, nevermind.

Honestly, the large majority of classes have at least one gen-ed attached to it, which simplifies things. It’s also very hard for a freshman to get into the most sought after ones. This leads to most freshmen taking at least a few intro classes-- a lot take HIST 103 or 104, WRIT111, ANTH111 or SOC111…things like that. Stalk BU Brain and note which classes sound interesting. Then just keep track of which have spots filling up before your orientation, and register for the ones that are left. Registration is a lot easier after the first semester.
