I’m planning a visit with my daughter and wanted some tips for where to stay–reasonably priced (preferably!) and not far from campus. Any tips?

Time frame?

It depends on your benchmark for a good hotel (mine is very low!) but I’ve always had luck on Hotels.com. They have everything from the super budget motels - which we’ve stayed at in a pinch and are totally fine - to the popular chains, Comfort Inn, Days, Best Western etc. You can definately find someplace decent, less than 2 miles away from campus, for under $100/night.

Close to campus and cheap do not go together, but odds are, you’ll have a car and nothing is very far in Brunswick. When we were looking in the last year, we stayed at the Captain Daniel, nice, but pricey, and the Best Western, much better deal, though further. Basically on the other side of the old Brunswick NAS, you get to drive by the drive-in lobster shack, Cameron’s. Definitely worth a stop.

Thanks so much for this great advice! Truly appreciate it :)

If you want cheap but clean try America’s Best Value Inn. If you want close but very nice but pricey then the Inn at Brunswick Station.

Absolutely LOVED the Inn at Brunswick Station! Best hotel we stayed at on all our college tours.
