Best hotel near Penn State?

Looking for hotel to stay in for admitted students' day. Can someone recommend one? Thanks!

The Atherton Hotel is right across the street from campus (on College)

I stayed at Nittany Lion Inn and was beautiful (and was very reasonable too!). About 8 min walk to HUB.

The Nittany Lion Inn, The Penn Stater and The Atherton are all good choices. We have only stayed at the Nittany Lion Inn and it was perfect - right on campus.

All are booked up for the night before…wow…

Days Inn? just a block from campus (Beaver and Pugh).

How is the Courtyard by Marriott?

Probably fine, just not as close to campus. There’s also a Hampton Inn not too far down College Avenue. The Hilton Garden Inn a little farther down College has a good (locally owned) restaurant.

I have two students at PSU plus I travel there for business and have stayed at most of the places.

IMO the best are the Hampton and Springhill Suites at Williamsburg Square. Both are almost new, offer complimentry breakfast and have most amenities. In the same complex there is an Outback and Olive Garden. Wegman’s is right down the street.

We were going to leave at the crack of dawn and drive up…maybe not.

We’re just gonna drive up there and then drive back down. It’s a 4 hr drive…

I used [State College, PA Hotels | Penn State Lodging | Football Hotels, Motel, Accommodations - Lion Country Lodging](http://www.lioncountrylodging.com) and found a great hotel nearby. They have a handful of hotels in the area with availability. Good luck!
