So applying as a 10th grader! That means you'd only be one grade above me! I'm currently in 8th grade, so not as a repeat. :) I'm exactly in the middle of the cutoff birthdates, so I'm neither old, nor young for my grade. i think. :D

Yeah! Yayyy go lowers! Oh yeah? Whens your birthday? Mine's July 8th, so I'm always the perfect placement in terms of school starting a month later. That also, unfortunately, means that I never get celebrate it at school. :(

Mine is April 1 (thats only four months away!!!)

Ooooo! Yayyyy! Haha... how fun! I've still got a while to wait. :(

April Fools! Your birth was a joke... lol... that's awful, I should be ashamed.

im 14. applying for 10th grade or maybe im repeating freshman year. most likely....not

hahaha!!! mmoyan!! It sucks when people don't believe its my birthday though. Hey, I have a question, why do people apply for repeats?

No I totally think you should repeat! My motive is just wanting to have as MUCH time possible at these places! When you graduate, that's it... like the resources are insane and I'd hate to leave early when I could have stayed longer. My GOAL is a year abroad in France - veryyyy fun thing to think about. But the sports, academics, languages, teachers - it's all just amazing! There IS a reason it's so impossible to get accepted, lol.

Things: Ummm... well MY reason is as stated above. But for some schools, their acceptance rates are much higher for a 9th or 10th grader - SPS being a prime example, the acceptance rate more than doubles from lower to upper.

i didn't like andovers viewbook. it was traditional, elegant, and boring. preferred exeters where the school looked fun and exciting. but from i can tell by people comments, the fun thing is definitely not true

Haha... well no, I doubt the first word to come an Exonian's mind to describe their school would be 'fun'.

But, I mean viewbooks say very little about the school. I got the opposite vibe from each school in comparison to their viewbooks. Andover seemed more lighthearted and laid-back, and Exeter seemed more traditional and intense - obviously, two HUGE simplifications, but these are just my personal experiences. In fact, my tour guides reflected both those stereotypes, and so did my interviewers along with the admissions office personnel, so there must be some truth to it.

I guess it depends on what you want in a school... and when you get so high up it's hard to really differ. They're both TOP schools, with TOP facilites.

ohh! that makes sense! I would want as much time as possible too! I didn't like andovers viewbook either. It made exeter seem more fun. Is exeter seriously not fun? anyways, back to the hot guys discussion, I thought the guy on page 29 was really cute!

Haha! YES page 29 WAS adorable. Digging the bad-a$$ stance, lol.

Also, the dude like 3 people behind him.

whah?? I'm talking about the guy holding up his math problems with the dorky grin on his face. Are we talking about the same person???

What about the Andovian 'Chip'? Page 24?

GRRRRRRRRRRRR! I'm so stupid... YES we are talking about the same person.
All of this Exeter/Andover viewbook switching is hard to keep track of.

oh yeah. definitely. but he's old (or I'm young)

Haha, yeah he is slightly elderly lol. I mean, full-on beard! Which is actually early...

maybe he was a repeat too. so it would make him like 19.

Right, true true. Because it says he's senior.

yep. Wow. we are really dissecting the viewbook. I'm going on the exeter web in my hunt for hot guys. I'll let you know if I suceed. :) I suggest you do the same?

Okay. I found one. :D

Haha I'll fo' sho do the same... hotness? Do tell!
