<p>I am headed to DOTL on Sunday and will taking two third years, from my town, who are willing to give me a UVA overview out to eat.</p>
<p>I would appreciate the names of the best restaurant in or around campus. Names of regular steakhouses, Japanese steakhouses, other great food, (not Gus's) would be appreciated.</p>

<p>A couple great places that any student would love to be treated to:</p>
<p>Sakura (Japanese Restaurant on 14th @ the Corner)
Basil (Mediterranean on 14th@ the Corner)
Lemongrass (Thai and Vietnamese on 14th@ the Corner)
Michael's Bistro (on the Corner)</p>
<p>The Downtown Mall has a bunch of other restaurants if you feel up to going down there. There are so many to choose from and I don't think any are particularly better than another that you can't go wrong if you end up in that direction. </p>
<p>Further from grounds I've had a harder time finding good quality spots, aside from chain restaurants.</p>

C&O (Downtown Mall)
The Ivy Inn (closer to Grounds)</p>
<p>The most popular steakhouses are Downtown Grille (on the Mall) and Aberdeen Barn (just off Emmet Street).</p>
