Which ones did you guys find most useful? Amsco, REA or something else?

AMSCO AP USH is the bomb, just use it for SAT II and AP.

for apush I had princeton review- the 2 practice tests were like the real thing and the info was too much to learn quickly but helpful. The night before I spent like 2 hours reading through it and a lot of stuff I learned during those two hours that I had never heard of before was actually on the test!

Also i had a barron's book for the sat II's and i didn't find it very helpful other then that it made the real thing seem easy. I took the barron's tests with some very bright friends and between the three of us we were getting a lot wrong. Anyway, wouldn't recommend it.

Hope this helps!

REA all the way. That is a great summary of overall America. It helped a lot for APUSH and hopefully it will for SAT II. I am using the Barron's book for SAT II, and I believe its supposed to be harder. The history sections are ordered easily because each president has a section, which i like because of the time period like questions.

I tried REA, but its slow.. Read REA if you have more than a week to review. If not and have to cram. Princeton Review is a nice alternative, thats what I used and I felt VERY comfortable on the exam. Few things I had to guess on.

Thank you for your replies.

Which prep book has the best practice tests?

Basically, what is the best prep book?

I liked Princeton Review practice tests, they're a little harder but help you if you are overprepared.
