-I’m currently a junior
-play a fall and spring sport
-my math is much better than English
only taken 1 sat II that I want to send (need 3)
-want to take math 2 and either US or physics test
-I’m in HUSH now and honors physics, and taking AP physics next year
Based on this information, what would be the best plan for taking sat, act, and subject tests?
@1zogden1 I suggest taking your subject tests in May or June, when the material is likely still fresh. You could take them in October like I did, but May/June might be better.
As for the SAT or ACT, you get to pick and choose. A possibility is to take either one this spring, and if you aren’t satisfied with your score, retake or take the other one in the fall.
Don’t wait for the fall to take SAT or ACT. With all the scoring issues, you will end up baking yourself against the wall. You have time now, prep for the February ACT and see how it goes.
^ditto that.
I would also register for both May and June SAT2s - just in case. Register for one test in June; you can always add extra ones when taking the test
Make sure to take the latest available practice ACT to get a feel for it. Remember that there are A LOT of downsides in taking the new SAT. Start busting your chops preparing for the ACT asap. Frankly, you should have taken the SAT and/or the ACT in the fall, but you still have time to reach your goals.
