is accounting program in binghamton good? i need serious answer. everytime i find out more about bing it getting worse

RyanBis, you make absolutely no sense. You disagree because you think you should have no reason not to get an offer? Good for you buddy. Except that’s not what I stated. I stated the amount recruited from those other schools are higher.

Pierrechn, you act like you knew that when you were shocked to discover it on a thread about a week ago. If you were the expert on accounting as you pretend to be on all things UT, you would know that Texas, Illinois, and BYU are about equal on claims to be number one in accounting. Those are the only three schools I’ve ever found ranked number one in any poll. Texas most often, Illinois next most, and then BYU.

Can anybody list top accounting schools in NYC. Is there any? Or only the Stern’s school of business considered good? US News ranks Stern’s accounting program number 9 in the U.S., but what about other schools like Fordham, CUNY Baruch, and others. Do these schools have the same amount of offers from the big 4, or what?

just passing along info lol

goin by whats an black and white

I’d say that UTexas is basically the Harvard of accounting. It’s just slightly above all the others and has a slightly better brand. After UT, BYU, UIUC, USC, Texas A&M, Mich, UVA, IU can be like YPSM type of schools that are very, very good but just don’t have the halo that “Harvard” (read UTexas) does. After that, most of the recruiting is regional and you should go to the best program in the city/state you wanna work in.

Really though, if you go to Virginia, for example, you’re probably going to work in DC/Virginia cities. Most recruiting seems to be regional. Texas, and maybe Michigan, UIUC, USC seem to be the only places that have a slight job of placing people outside of their region due to name, but if you wanna work in Boston, you’re probably better off going to Northeastern or BC over Ohio State, for example, even though OSU is higher ranked. This isn’t like MBB recruiting where the name of your school trumps regional ties.

I am a international student who is considering to go to IUB or OSU for accounting… Can you give some advise?

cici you already made your own thread.

Wharton if you can…
otherwise
UIUC… its accounting is pretty reputable AND only about 1 and half semester of actual accounting course is required for this major. So you have a lot of room to pick other business courses. I totally sound biased but if you are an accounting major at the U of I there are tons of recruiters.

Leventhal has an excellent accounting program. Los Angeles is a huge business center. It is a leader in aerospace, entertainment, fashion, telecommunications and trade. All of these businesses use accountants. They also provide internship opportunities.

Leventhal also has a Progressive Degree Program. High achieving undergraduates can earn both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting or business taxation in just five years. USC scholarships/and or financial aid may be applied to the fifth year.

Job placement is excellent.

A unique USC program is the LINC experience. Freshmen travel abroad and meet business executives and leaders. Some past destinations have been Hong Kong, Dublin, Santiago, Singapore and Taipei.

More information about the undergraduate school can be obtained at: marshall.usc.edu

Check out Bryant. Accounting grads are heavily recruited.

georgiagirl: doesn’t everyone get a masters and undergrad degree in accounting within 5 years? I agree though that USC is damn good. Top 5 easily.

the University of Denver has an extremely strong accounting program. The big four recruits here all the time and its in a great city
