BEST Student Bank in the Area: CHASE or UFCU?

Right now I'm hesitating between CHASE bank and the

I'm hesitating between that (somewhat random UFCU Federal Union and a larger chain/branch that is yet to be determined.

My main issues are

No fees for using the debit card for purchase

A great online banking system (NO FEES FOR PAYING EVERYTHING ONLINE)

No "surprise" fees

Lots of ATMs around downtown and UT area (and no ATM fee?)

And most importantly:

A good credit card plan. An interest rate that won't screw you over and decent credit limit for students.

I use Chase because my parents use it, and it has a great online system. UFCU has ATMs on campus though – something that Chase doesn’t have (you have to go to the Drag). To be honest, though, I don’t really use much cash at UT. I use an ATM maybe once a semester.

As for a credit card, don’t limit yourself to getting one from a particular bank. Get one from Capital One or Citi. I was approved for cards from both, with no previous credit history. Citi gives a larger credit limit, but Capital One has a better rewards system with no limitations.
