<p>I have seen a lot of people talking about davis being pretty close to san francisco, which seems pretty cool. i was wondering how must people commute to san francisco (bus, car, etc), and how long it takes? thanks!</p>
<p>I used to live in Dixon which is about 10 minutes away from Davis. Travelling to SF from Dixon by car took about 70-80 mins. There is also a bus that goes from Vacaville to Pleasant Hill. You could probably take a bus from Davis to Vacaville. From Pleasant Hill, you can take the BART to SF. Not the most direct route, but it is an option :-)</p>
<p>If you don’t mind getting into Berkeley first, the Berkeley bus is excellent. It goes directly between the 2 campuses for only $10, and runs twice a day M-F. The BART station is only a block away from the campus if SF is your main destination.</p>
<p>If you can’t make the Berkeley bus, the train runs practically all day for $21 (to Berkeley).</p>
<p>Both the bus and the train take an hour and 15 minutes about, the same as driving.</p>
<p>Idk of anyone who commutes though.</p>
