well i keep getting 1 to 4 wrong on the math, which really is annoying :(
i know i have the ability to score 800s but for some reason i keep making these small errors. do you guys use any methods to help reduce these?

Read the questions twice.

Yea, an SAT ace recommended trying to do each question twice from scratch. You have to start reading and think about it all over again, because your silly mistake could have been in the first step. (like even reading the problem)

The hard thing is getting enough time to do that... don't rush.

For the record, you can miss one in math and still get 800. I know I did.

^It depends on the curve

most of the time, however, it won't be 800 if you miss a question

Oh really? That I did not know...
I guess you could just rush through the problems your first time around, marking the ones you're not sure of, then taking time to double check the ones you're not sure of.
How long does it normally take you to finish the math section?

i have the same problem as the OP...finish with 10 minutes left, check them over, and STILL end up making the wrong mistakes. then when i come here and hear everyone discuss the questions i think to myself "wow, that was RETARDED." i guess i just have to underline the question so i know what im looking for.

Practice makes perfect..........the only way you can avoid careless mistakes is by practicing

start at the back of the section and go forward, that way you will not make careless errors on the hard ones and by the time you are at the beginning of the section, they questions will be straight-forward
