Best way to transfer to Tech?

I'm starting to think that I'm going to have a low chance of getting into tech next year. It might happen, but I'm definitely in need of backups. If I end up getting admitted I would probably do computer engineering. So my idea is to go to UGA and major in computer systems engineering. Looking at the computer systems engineering major courses and the required transfer courses, I'm not sure how I will be able to get all the courses I need to transfer to Tech. Do you guys have any ideas on how I should go about this?

I also want to get all the recommended courses in their too.

Ok I think I might have found a way since I found out you could transfer AP credits. If I take out English 1 with an AP Lang credit, and Calc 1 with an AP Calc BC credit, take out Chem with an AP Chem credit and take out Physics with AP Physics C Mechanics credit, then I would just need english 2 which I could take Freshman year, Calc 2 Freshman year, Intro to Comp Sci and Physics 2. Then I would just need to get Lin Algebra in there somehow and I could be applying to GT for fall of sophomore year right? Also would it be better to do this track at GSU instead of UGA to make sure I get a 4.0 that first year?

BTW here is the UGA Computer Computer Systems Engineering course sheet
http://www.engr.uga.edu/wp-content/uploads/BSCSE-Curriculum-F12.pdf</a></p>

And here is GSU Physics course sheet(they don’t have engineering)
[B.S</a>. in Physics ? Georgia State University](http://www.gsu.edu/bs_physics.html)

I wouldn’t give up on getting into GT just yet. However if you don’t wouldn’t it be better to go to one of the colleges with Regents’ Engineering Transfer Program (RETP)?

Also I don’t know if the Intro to Comp engineering is the same class as GT’s computer science class they require for engineers.

They probably are, but I still feel like I would get a little more challenged at UGA and GSU than somewhere like GPC or Georgia Southern, and that may allow me to not slack off too much and build bad habits. I think I can pull a 4.0 at GSU and maybe UGA, so I think getting in is not that big a deal. My main decision comes from getting all the required courses in freshman year. I also figured that I could probably take linear algebra and Physics 2 over the summer after freshman year since they are just recommended courses instead of required.

Intro to Comp is accepted as a computer science transferable credit (https://oscar.gatech.edu/pls/bprod/wwtraneq.P_TranEq_Rpt</a>) which is all I need to get in.

BTW in case anyone else was curious, this was the GT list of required courses by major chart.

<a href=“Blow the Whistle! (404 error: page not found) | Undergraduate Admission”>Blow the Whistle! (404 error: page not found) | Undergraduate Admission;

And here’s their general info about transferring.

^ checked the GT transfer chart. If you go to GSU make sure you take the correct CS class. Some gives you the credit for example CSC 1310 does however CSC 2010 doesn’t and the CSC 2010 is the first computer science class CS majors are supposed to take at GSU.

Thanks and your right. I would be doing a physics major at GSU (they don’t offer engineering), and they allow you to take two free electives and I could choose any CS for one of these.
