drama, IDK for certain, but I’ve seem it many times on this board that Exeter’s a.m. email is to parents. You go!

Last year the Exeter email came at 3:22 am (PST) to my parents’ account. So this year, I know not to panic if it’s not there right at 3. It’s a good incentive to try and get some sleep! But just be aware that it may not be waiting for you right at 6 AM. It’ll come :)

Did anyone get wail listed for Lawrenceville? I just want to know if at the bottom it says to everyone that “Although our Waiting List is not ranked, you should know that if space becomes available you will be one of the first applicants to whom we will offer admission”

I got waitlisted and it said that for me too.

Unless it’s just a coincidence and they didn’t send that to all waitlisters I feel that telling kids that they are near the top of the waitlist even though it isn’t ranked is really unprofessional, comparable to sending 1st choice letters to all your applicant schools.

I just signed on and all it said was No documents found. Should i be worried?

how come everyone already knows their results for lawrenceville? I cant get onto the decision website… SO FRUSTRATING pout

Hi everyone! Does anyone know what time we will receive the Andover fedex packages? I live in the Midwest- like Illinois, Indiana, Michigan area. If I get the fedex, will it come today? And if I don’t receive something, does that mean I’m rejected?

I wish Andover just emailed.

vivster: for Lawrenceville, the website will be down from 7:30 am - 7:30 pm.

Andover fedex is by the morning of the 10th. If you don’t get it today, you are likely rejected or possibly waitlisted.

I probably didn’t get into Andover then. Did anyone else have trouble getting to Choate’s site? I eventually got it, but it took forever!
I got rejected from Exeter and the e-mail was sort of depressing…
Hotchkiss put me on their wait list. The note seemed as if it were a rejection letter.
I got accepted to Choate. The letter was really motivational and great. It also tells you your financial aid grant if you are accepted write on the letter. I’m applying as a day student for Andover and was expecting some sort of letter in the mail today but I didn’t come. I know some other kids who got in from my town and got their letters in the mail today. I also know some kids who were rejected too though. Do I still have a chance?

My favorite was definitely Andover. The Hand written letters really did it for me!

Is it me or most of the waitlist letters state, “We received a record number of applicants this year.”

Excuse me, but my sister was waitlisted to Deerfield twice, and she received the same statement twice. Does this mean that each year, the applicant pool grows?

^ yep

tenchar

-sigh- I was rejected at Andover, & waitlisted at Deerfield Hotchkiss Exeter. It’s really difficult not knowing if they’ll end up accepting me or not… Well at least I have many companions on CC in the same situation! :)

Gantor555-Yes, exactly. That’s what it said on all of my letters. Sigh.

I don’t think the application pool ACTUALLY grows each year. They’re just saying that as an excuse. Tsk Tsk

NMH has a very compelling acceptance package…they send you a mock “passport” (highlighting their international programs), a wristband (your ID), and a sports backpack: it’s like they’re equipping you for the journey. AND they’re running a lottery! You accept, and they are awarding 2 merit scholarships at random to new students to be used for overseas programs…how cool is that?

Love everything but the merit scholarship lottery - shouldn’t that be somehow tied to merit not a lottery??? We’re getting a little “gimmicky” here!

Andover had HAND WRITTEN acceptance letters?!?
Well that’s new! It makes you wonder how long ago they decided everyone’s fate.

P.S.I know I haven’t been on here in a year! I eventually went to Loomis, and geez. The academic work combined with athletics is extremely challenging.

YAY! accepted at Choate (my TOP choice). I really thought I was going to get WL or something but this is GREAT! Brandon, I had trouble logging on the site as well, but eventually did. Do you plan to matriculate there?
