So right now I’m considering whether I should get a B.F.A. in Media Arts with a concentration in Digital Arts & Technologies and a minor in Ecological Restoration or whether I should get a B.S. in Resource Conservation with a concentration in Environmental Policy & Resources Planning and a minor in Media Arts? I’m interested in both design and sustainability/conservation and figure that landscape architecture would be a perfect degree for me. My school doesn’t offer landscape architecture so I would have to go to grad school after I complete my bachelor’s. Any thoughts?
My girlfriend just finished applying to grad schools for a MLA so I can provide a little feedback. Generally speaking, you will have different lengths of MLA programs for different levels of readiness. For example, University of washington has 2 tracks:

One that’s for people with a degree in landscape architecture, and one for people that don’t have it. So if YOU were to apply to UW you would have to do a 3 year program. But because my girlfriend already has a bachelors in landscape architecture, she only has to do the 2 year program. Make sense?
Yeah makes total sense. No matter what I’ll have to do the program for those without a degree in landscape architecture. Thanks for your help.
Yep, with either of your majors you’ll probably have to do the longer program. So as long as you’re okay with that you can try to pick whichever you like better or whichever you think might pair better with Landscape Architecture.
