better to drop or take a W?

I'm just taking 12 credits, only one of the classes matters, I basically signed up for full time to get financial aid. If I drop 8 credits worth will it affect financial aid any? Or should I just wait til I can take a W? I don't plan on Grad school so don't care really what my transcript looks like.

if you drop the class, either now, or later with a W, you need to make up the units next quarter, spring, or during summer. You need 12 units at the beginning of the quarter for them to consider you full time to disperse aid, and you need 36 units a year or they will ask for money back. So, you just have to sign up for 16 units next quarter (i wouldnt suggest waiting) to make your total units in balance at the end of the year. They MIGHT put you on a financial probation warning thing, but once you make up the units you will be fine, they just put it on you so you realize you need to make up the units to continue getting aid and not have to pay them back for being considered part time

If you don’t care what your transcript looks like, why worry about dropping anyway?
