Ok, lets admit it... It's a bit annoying how everyone on this website has 800s on every SAT II exam, 5s on every AP test, and 1550s on their SATs... I know there are many who are goodhearted on this website, but the ignorance of a few really makes hard working students looking for guidence feel incompetant. I honestly scored a 750 on my May SAT II in Chemistry, and I came here, and only shortly after recieving 90th percentile, feel horrible. Whose with me?

I think from now on, people who score above a 760 on an SAT I/SAT II should post a snapshot of their "View Scores" screen, and put it on a free photo site, such as http://www.picturetrail.com or community.webshots.com, or MySpace.com.

I don't see why; if they are lying they are not being benefitted in any way. Having to "prove grades" to get advice or be believed seems to be a great hinderence and rather depressing...

But it really lowers everyone elses confidence...This website was founded on the principals of truth, now it has become a "What are my chances at Harvard, Yale, Princetown, UPENN, w/ a 1600", and "Should I retake my 800?"

I don't think those who can't supply proof should be banned, but I think those who can's opinion will be more valid than those who can't.

if you lie about standardized test scores on an open forum you seriously have self esteem issues or a hugely inflated ego (and, as davidav said, are not benefitting in any way). that said, i dont think it would accomplish anything to 'prove grades' because the individuals who are so low that they lie about grades on a website could just as easily tamper with a screenshot.

I'm sorry if this seems overly-paranoid. I love CC, and I think it provides an excellent service. It is a godsent to all those nerds out there, jk ;). But really, I get so upset when it seems like everyone on here has like 800's,and those who get like 750's feel horrible.

Because this is a site for honest discussion, and if we don't have that, then this site is worthless. I know CC is a valuable source for information and great to talk with fellow peers, but we need some honesty.

People have tried, in good faith, to post screencaps of their scores from the CB website. The result - pages and pages of discussions on how the OP is lieing and how easy it is to forge the screen caps. At least two well respected former posters were essentially driven off of CC after being harassed about how they "forged" their scores.

You do realize that not everyone with an 800 is lying. 10% of people taking 2C get an 800 and how many of those 10% post on CC - proly all of them, right? All of my friends who have taken 2C have 800s (of course I got the 780). My point is you should stop comparing yourself to everyone else.

If you got a 750, good for you! My real question is... Why did you come to "brag" about it on this forum if you knew everyone here gets 800s? I mean if you felt so good you say and came to the forum.... Never mind. You proly won't get it and you'll flame me but whatever.

750 is an awesome score so stop complaining about the 800s, in the end you're gonna go to the same colleges anyways. Anything over 700 usually qualifies for SAT IIs.

Flaws with atomic's pic (but other than that good editing): why did you take the SAT I so many times if you got a perfect score on it? Strange parts: The white lines missing on the bottom score header, and the blur above the top 800. Also, a few of your 800s have the exact same pixilized patterns... But better than most people's.

I think people post their scores mostly so that people who have already been accepted and go to the colleges they would like to get into can assess their chances. And no, having a perfect SAT score and great GPA does not mean that you will be accepted to the school of your choice which is why it's nessessary to seek advice.
