btw you ppl with no respect for honor shouldnt even think about going to princeton...

Sorry Mod.. This conversation is discontinued.

my question is who cares? If you worry about others scores than you are the one that is insecure.

I completely agree with hazelorb. You must also know, that collegeconfidential has some of the most intelligent posters/students around. 3x 800's are rare, but people with over 760's on 2 or more of their SATII's; I can't say that's too uncommon.

The only thing I'm failing to see is how you can possibly feel bad about a 750.

But it really lowers everyone elses confidence...This website was founded on the principals of truth, now it has become a "What are my chances at Harvard, Yale, Princetown, UPENN, w/ a 1600", and "Should I retake my 800?"

I don't think those who can't supply proof should be banned, but I think those who can's opinion will be more valid than those who can't.

I think those who can spell should be held in higher regard than those who can't.

It doesn't matter. Its just the internet.

If you insist I wouldn't mind but it makes me sad that we have to 'prove' it.

nothing to see here, move along.

' Beyond the Liars on CC... (Proving Grades)'

People who post on CC are going to be the motivated kids(why else would you post on a college information forum). Motivated kids normally do well in school. Most people don't lie on here, and for the ones that do, who cares? I have learned a lot from this website, regardless of whether or not people lie about their stats. There are a lot of genuinely helpful people here.

If you look at the SAT posts right after an exam, when people are compiling answers.. you'll see people only complain/argue about a few problems. That's because most of the people are getting a good portion of them right.

And I don't think every says they have 2400s etc. I have only seen 2 people on CC say they got a 2400. One was in March SAT and there were a 107 people in the country who got a 2400. One person sounds much more than reasonable to me. Getting an 800 on SAT2s is not that difficult(10% of math2c takers get 800). As for the APs, 5's constitutes the top 10-30% of the test takers. It's not difficult to get a 5 because the AP test is purely on content they tell you about, so if you put the effort, you can almost know you're going to get a 5.

I think the problem you're having is that you don't realize the CC is skewed and does not represent all American students. Do you think a person who is getting 1000(total) on the SAT would spend his/her time posting on CC? No, its the people who are motivated(general statement) that would be trying to improve their chances/learn more about the college process. So stop calling everyone a fake.

shows you got a good score on sat

im--Nope...........

God, this is so pathetic. Fyi, when all you score-obsessed ppl get to college (or out of CC, into the real world), nobody will care what you got on your SAT. If it makes you feel bad that other people did better, it's only your problem. The SAT is just a stupid test and when you get to college and start talking about SATs, ppl will just laugh at you because they have better things to do. (Sorry if I came off rude - I just meant to say it doesn't really matter as much as you think it does, esp. what other ppl got)
