BFA Acting Pre-Screen and Auditions. Class of 2022 - Sharing!

Changing the subject - finally heard from Pace. D got a snail mail letter today that she’s an alternate for FTVC.

Congratulations @MTmom2017 !

My D has become the wait list queen. Just received wait list e-mail from Andrea at Ball State. She’s now on WL at Ball State, Emerson, Baldwin Wallace, and waiting to hear from priority hold at Texas State- which I think is functioning as a WL right now. Fortunate to have acceptances from Belmont, LIU-Post and JMU. Headed to JMU to sit on classes during her Spring Break.

That is wonderful news!! @MTMOM17 !! So happy you finally found out! We still haven’t heard a thing. So annoying.

@Griffilus you must tell us what school that was! BU is at the top of our list and I hope they are good.

I wonder if we haven’t found out anything from Pace yet because our last name begins with a T and they are slowly going in alphabetical order!

We had a tour at a school in the Midwest that turned us off to the point that D decided not to even audition. The young lady leading the tour never turned around where we could hear, basically said there’s nothing to do at the school and she was very unkempt wearing black leggings that were thinner and more transparent than hose. Her attitude and appearance totally turned off my wife and daughter.

Congrats @MTmom2017 on the Pace Alternate/Waitlist! That is great news! I hope there is movement!

@TNTheatreDad Enjoy your trip to JMU. The facilities there are pretty awesome. Lots of kids from our area go there, and my impression is that they are generally happy. Look forward to hearing your thoughts post visit.

@HopeinMT , that’s possible! Our last name begins with R and we heard from Pace yesterday.

We are also R and got rejection bfa acting today. I am weary…

Thanks @VASkydog we are looking forward to it. We briefly visited for her audition in February so this is a second look. Everyone there has been great and the campus is beautiful. I’ll post thoughts when we return

Thanks friends! D is cautiously excited! And our last name is close the beginning of the alphabet. @TNTheatreDad, D is up there with yours. She is on waitlists at BU, Point Park & was offered WL at Chapman (wasn’t interested), and waiting on the Texas State Priority Hold. She has acceptances at Ithaca, Roosevelt/CCPA & Marymount Manhattan & we have planned visits to accepted student days. No word from Syracuse yet. Pace FTVC is her top choice. Hoping there will be quick movement and we can cancel some trips and release some spots for those who want them!

@HopeinMT It wasn’t BU  It was a Florida university.

Hmmmm… our last name begins with a B and we haven’t heard anything… but we are on the W coast and our mail hasn’t come yet.

We are in PA, and we haven’t heard anything yet either. Posts in MT board said several members have called Pace, that assured them that there were still some that would be getting acceptances without getting calls. That remains to be seen! Please post if anyone has gotten in without getting a call. I am aware that that has happened before!

Have any transfers heard from Fordham?

Still waiting to hear from Syracuse!

Not sure about the alphabetical theory for pace-I have a friend who auditioned FTVC whose last name starts w B. Granted, we live in the Midwest so maybe her letter just hasn’t come yet.

Regarding Calarts. My S auditioned in SF. He was given a card. Did not do the breathing exercises and was not asked to shadow. He did talk with them about his time on campus during CSSSA and that seemed to interest them. He emailed a thank you to the auditor and she sent a brief, kind response that he had left a strong impression on them. So, maybe not your typical acceptance, but worth mentioning. The card seems to be key I guess.

Congratulations! Does an alternate mean she is on the wait-list or is this a different category? I am not sure if this means the same thing? I suspect there is a solid chance for those on wait lists and I have encouraged my D to send declination letters right out on multiple programs she was accepted to but knows she will not attend so that the wait lists can move forward.
