Bhp

Does it help being a texas resident when applying for the BHP? what do you need to get in, if you are from texas?

From what I've heard...
good ranking (usually top 1-2%)
fairly good SATs (2200+?)
consistent ECs

it does help, but as annn pointed it out, your stats need to be very good - around the top 3% with a very high SAT score.

I'm from Texas and got rejected from BHP. Was in top 2% exactly, Sat of 2110 and lots of leadership and ECs. However, the class appyling this year was insane-basically at the same or even higher level than ivy leagues.

haha I'm top 6% and 2180 SATs (1510 M + V though) -- However I was told that they consider writing, but look mainly at M & V.
Either way, I'm pretty sure I'm going to get rejected from BHP when I apply next year.

what is average ACT for BHP?
I took the ACT and got a 25 :( I will work on bringing it up

I am in IB and in top 5% of my class.

It doesn't matter if you're in IB or not ...
what matters is your GPA, ranking, and SAT/ACT

IMO Your ACT is far too low.. I don't know anyone who has taken it though so I'm not sure about the average of ACT for BHP. How about SATs?

Actually, after reading one of your stats post, I think you need to first focus on getting into Mccombs first :)
