can we ride bikes all over the campus, or is it limited to certain areas?

I would like to know this as well

i believe we are allowed to ride all over. its just whether or not you CAN (hills, ice, snow, etc.)

i think thats how the bike situation is. i am personally going to try to bring up a bike, just because its probably faster than waiting for the bus

no kidding rubber ducky. but did you guys watch the "cornell inside information" video? there is a "no bicycles allowed" sign.....that's what i'm worried about.

Although bikes aren't as prevalent here as, say, at Stanford, people here do ride bikes even in the winter. They are allowed in most of the places you'll go and it makes getting to places much quicker.

i think from that video, the "no bicycles" sign comes from the rear parking lot in sibley hall. Kind of stupid.

the only place where you really cant ride your bike in the middle of the day is Ho Plaza. Too many people, probably a bit of a danger.

Otherwise, you can ride your bike all over as many students do. In the winter, it's not like there's snow on the pavement 24-7. As long as you have warm clothing, you should be able to ride a bike on the streets all year long.

should we buy one at home and ship or get it when we arrive? home being california

Good question: i'm also wondering. However, I don't think it's reasonable to bring a bike all the way from Cali - it's not like you can drive to Cornell.
