Big 4 vs. Study Abroad?

<p>I was accepted into Ernst & Young's Summer Leadership Program, which has big potential benefits leading to an internship and job offers, since they recruit heavily on my campus. I really, really like them and hope to work for them in the future. However, the program is only two days long, and I had planned on studying abroad in Sydney this summer!</p>

<p>The program in Sydney is 8-credits and involves a course in Australian culture and also an internship (I may get placed at PwC, E&Y or other numerous places... you can't really choose). I originally planned on doing this since I will actually be WORKING. </p>

<p>However, I do want to work in the Boston office of the SLP program (which I was accepted into) and going to it this summer will let me meet and network with alot of the top recruiters in our area. Going to that however, means no work for the rest of the summer atm / I having to frantically find an internship within the next few months... </p>

<p>Which should I do? :(</p>

<p>Do you want to end up at a Big 4? If yes, go with the program. While having international experience is a leg up for many jobs, Sydney is probably not going to excite any employers.</p>

<p>Everyone is telling me to attend the E&Y program since apparently it has an almost 100% retention rate for an internship next summer, which hopefully will lead to a job offer, which I am aiming for when I graduate. I love E&Y! :)</p>

<p>I just need to find something else to occupy myself for the rest of this summer... :/</p>
