Are there a lot of bikes around campus? Should I bring one just to like ride along the beach or something? and where would i store it?

There’s not THAT many bikes around campus. Of course it would be nice to have one so you can get to places fast, but you can easily get by without one. There’s usually small areas to lock your bike near the colleges or near some classrooms.

If you want your legs to fall off while going up the hills.

Are bikes safe on campus? Like, there’s no problem with rampant bike parts stealing (wheels, particularly), right?

I don’t own a car, and plan on using a bike pretty frequently.

When I visited, it didn’t look like bikes were an efficient way of commuting around the campus. There are buses, and you can also walk the other short-distanced way to wherever you need to go to. A campus like at UC Davis is more fit for bikes, in my opinion. :]
