@CBMOM Your daughter and my stats are very similar. Her average is a bit higher than mine, but my SAT is a bit higher than hers (1750 which in my opinion I don’t think Bing accepts) so we are both stuck on the same boat unfortunately. It will be a big let-down to be deferred since I had high hopes, but I’m sticking with your daughters philosophy that things happen for a reason.

Good luck to everyone, fingers are still crossed.

Hi everyone, it says I am eligible to pay a deposit and my stats are on the lower side of the average and I am out of state so maybe it means nothing, or changes depending on what time the application was completed.

Hftmrock… Thanks… Yes being deferred will be better than a rejection and we can still hope for acceptance. Just hate that if she is deferred we have to wait again… Waiting to hear is torture lol.

I have an interesting story. Originally I applied for the business school, but then Binghamton called by guidance counselor and said I’d have a much better shot if I switched my application to Harpur, which I did. I thought that this was a good sign, since they usually don’t talk about individual students in this way. Now I can’t access the link we’ve been talking about to “pay”. My last name starts with a “G”. Does this mean I’m not accepted? Maybe they just didn’t put me “in” yet because I switched my application around two weeks ago. Thoughts?

I go to a very competitive hs wheres theres no ranking.
GPA-3.67
ACT-28 ( I sent in two since some subsections were better than others, which would sum to a 29)
Essay- Great
Extra Currics- Great
Recomendation- Great
THOUGHTS PLEASE

I cant imagine that they would ask you to switch school you were applying to and then not admit you. So maybe like you said…they just havent put you “in” yet.

@jakey
Just out of assumption and past acceptances, I think you should be getting accepted. It seems to me that SAT/ACT scores weigh more than I would like. Which is calming because you haven’t received word yet and I’m more confident about your decision than I am about myself.

thanks everyone for your support. it’s been really calming. Does it matter that I live in New York? I’m just freaking out. Does anyone know if we will get in email or mail?

Someone should call admissions tomorrow and ask if there is any correlation between the quikpay site and admission before the actual decision date.

Jakey, when he logs in, he gets a message saying that he is not eligible to pay a deposit at this time. Unfortunately, based upon a reading of last year’s posts, it probably means that he has been deferred.n I hope that’s not the case. He was already accepted at Albany and Oneonta and is waiting to hear from SB.
