I was just accepted as a transfer to Binghamton and Syracuse. I would be entering as a sophomore.

At Syracuse I'd be a International Studies major
and at Binghamton I'd be a political science major with a concentration in Global and International Affairs.

I'm definitely going to grad school... I'm keeping my options open as to what I'd be going to Grad School for.

I'm definitely leaning towards Binghamton... but I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts to the contrary.

thanks,
nickeatworld

P.S. Considering that I got accepted to BU last year... and my grades have only improved. (my college gpa is better than my HS gpa) I'm assuming BU should be an option as well for me.

I am a Binghamton alumni
Daughter is a soph at Newhouse@ Syracuse…

this is a $$ issue at the forefront; Binghamton is gobs cheaper; which would free $$ up for grad school…

If $$ is not an issue, what kind of environment do you like? Binghamton is really in a suburb; not much around…socializing is very “bar” based…

Syracuse Maxwell School is one of the best in the country for public affairs; lots of poli sci majors take courses in Maxwell…socially, lots of frats/sororities but if that’s not your thing, tons of other activities on campus…

Can’t speak for Boston U; very diff environment than both of your other choices…

Unfortunately, because I got accepted to Syracuse last year, and did not attend… I won’t be getting my FA package until current students get there FA package.

Because of an Injury i got when I was a small child… Binghamton would be almost free for me

I assume, after three years at Syracuse… it would cost me anywhere inbetween 15 and 30 thousand dollars more to go to Syracuse

US News Ranks Binghamton at #80 and Syracuse #54… (BU at #60… last year they gave me a better FA package than Syracuse)
