I'm a BioSci major atm. During SPOP I signed up for Bio2A, but now I'm not really sure if I want to take it because it starts 10 minutes after my Writing class ends, (would that be sufficient time to go from writing to bio 2A? I didn't get a chance to check out the location of the buildings...) so I'm not sure if it's worth the unit. And for those who have taken Bio 2A, is it worth it? What are the pros/cons?

BIO 2A is available MWF, so maybe you can sign up for a different day.

And I’ve heard that 10 minutes is sufficient to travel between classrooms.

There should be a thread already regarding this class, try to search for it.

Get a bike, most people bike to classes. Or skateboard.

10 min is enough.

2a is a waste of time though.

where are your locations between writing and bio

I had a lot of ten minute gaps between classes throughout the year last year. I believe it is possible to get class anywhere on campus within ten minutes. As you already know by now UCI is built in a circle and if you have two classes all the way across campus from each other, you can just cut across the park. However, depending on how far your classes are, you may need to do some power walking.

You can tell us your locations like wille asked and we can tell you if it’s possible or not :P

My Writing 39B class is in SST (Social Science Tower) and Bio 2A is in EH (Engineering Hall). On the campus map they appear relatively close, so now that I think about it I guess the time/distance is not an issue. But now my question is whether it’s worth taking or not.

That is extremely close… you can get there in less than 5 minutes.

You can take a look at this older thread for any advice about bio seminar.

10 minutes is plenty of time.

I took it last year and to be honest its kind of a waste of time, but it does provide you with valuable information. It’s only an hour once a week and if i remember correctly you only need to go to 6 or 8 of the clases so you can skip some weeks.

Hi, I have also only 10min to get to my next class. Will I make it from PSLH100 to SSLH100 in 10 min?

Hm. Do you really need a bike? I could bring it there, but not if I don’t need to, right?

tiinan I have the same question as your classes are practically across from each other. I have to get from BS3 (519) to SSLH (212) in 10 minutes. I’m not sure if I’ll make it on time :S

PSLH to SSLH and BS3 to SSLH is somewhat far, but I think you can make it in ten. Powerwalking though. If not, you might want to leave a minute or two early.
