Is that bad...

Thoughts?

For the bio exam it's kind of low... not embarrassing. It depends on what colleges you're applying to.

...applying to ivies.

I got 690 on U.S. History and plan on taking both Math II and Literature in the fall.

Your scores won't impress the admission or help you. I don't know how much it will hurts. I don't think Ivies release SAT II stat, but Rice University does publish the average SAT II for its students (arguably comparable score wise, just maybe not so much EC wise compared to Ivies). The average is pretty much 700+ for schools you are looking at.

i don't understand how E could be harder than M...

E is for easy (Ecology...pshhh) its no where near as difficult as M.......which is for madness.....

then if E is harder, why does it have a more lenient curve?
i've checked many prep books, all say ~6 omit for a 800 on E, whereas ~4omit for a 800 on M.

to the OP: frankly, yes, a 600 is bad. A 700 is considered to be competitive for all colleges.

i got an 800, what?!?!

what's OP?

original post i think

i have a question.
How does PR's biology test compare to the real test?

Well, I didn't really study so I guess it was hard for me because I wasn't prepared.

The thing I'm worried about most is that I am going to get an A in AP Bio, but I got the 600 on the SAT II

So colleges are gonna be like ***, how do you have an A but get a 600. Am I right in thinking that? Or am I over-analyzing.

I'm kind of in the same position as you. I have a 95% in AP bio and im pretty sure i got a 5 on the AP test. However, I only got a 700 on Biology E. Also, I'm also going into biology so i feel that colleges might be put off by the discrepancy.

Well at least you got a 700, haha!

Ugh, I'm in sort of the same position, even though I got an 800 (yay) on Bio M, I think I really did poorly on the AP test, like MAYBE a 3, a four if the grader falls asleep during grading my FR and her hand slips and gives me a good score. Anyway, I also have an A in ap bio, do you think the SAT II will make up for the AP grade?

AP Biology and SAT Biology test things at different depths.
i doubt they will be weighted equally.
