I know you can take either one first, but is there any advantage in taking 117 before 118? Or vise versa?

And is the same textbook used?

thanks,
mangoo

People take 118 before 117 all the time, from what I’ve heard, from people who have taken both, there’s no advantage to taking one before the other.

Yes, the same textbook is used for both classes. No, there’s no advantage.

Cheers!

mangoo - Hey Again! I actually took 118 before 117 because of scheduling conflicts, and some of the material overlaps. So either way, you’ll know a bit of it from the previous course. Depending on your style, maybe you want to take the evolution/ecology/organisms one first because you’re looking forward to it/want to get it over with, or maybe cellular/molecular is your dreaded/most favorite course. In other words, if your schedule allows, maybe you’ll want to start with whichever one you prefer.
