Bioengineering and Business

Hello everyone,

I just finished my second year of undergrad as a Bioengineering major at UCLA, and after completing my first two years, I have decided that I want to pursue a career in business at some point-either marketing, finance, or consulting. So far, I have worked in a research lab for half of my freshman and entire sophomore year, and currently interning at a local company, under their R&D department.
however, i am unsure of how to make the transition from my technical background into the business world. i have determined 2 plans of action
1.) continue participating in technical activities for the rest of undergrad, which i still do like, but take some management and business admin courses. then attend grad school or work in industry for a few years on the technical side, followed by MBA
2.) participate in business activities, like case competitions and undergrad business club while also taking business classes to supplement my technical curriculum, then hopefully land a consulting or analyst job after completing undergrad, and work my way up through the corporate ladder

Help anyone? perhaps any engineers out there who were in a similar position. My GPA is somewhat low( 3.2-3.3ish) because I struggled for the first two years not being able to decide what i wanted to do

option 1) after i get my mba, i want to become a technology manager for a biotech or pharma company
