I always wanted to be a doctor but now I’ve been second guessing myself. If I’m going to be a doctor I would rather do a direct med program, but they’re so hard to get accepted to. So now I’ve been thinking about doing BME as a major and apply to med school later on because I’m not 100% sure if I want to actually be a doctor. I’m good at math and I like math and engineering. So I was thinking of doing BME and see if I like BME then do my masters in that but if I become more interested in being a doctor than a BME, then I’ll take my MCATs. Is that a good idea?
Also, is it possible for me to do a co-op for BME but still go to medical school? Or is co-op for people who know they’re going to be biomedical engineers?
Thanks!
